The Eglinton Crosstown LRT (Line 5) is one of Toronto’s largest transit infrastructure investments, spanning approximately 19 kilometres and connecting multiple neighbourhoods across the city. Designed to improve mobility and reduce commute times, the line includes more than twenty stations and stops serving thousands of daily riders.

As part of the station environment, bicycle parking infrastructure plays an important role in supporting multimodal transportation and encouraging sustainable commuting options.

Bike Rack Installation for Transit Accessibility

To support cyclists using the new transit line, commercial bike racks were installed across several stations along the Eglinton Crosstown corridor.

Key installation features include:

The CAH-101 outdoor bike rack was selected for this project due to its durability, corrosion resistance, and suitability for high-traffic public infrastructure environments.

Constructed from commercial-grade materials, the rack is designed to withstand:

• year-round outdoor exposure

• minimal maintenance requirements

Its clean, functional design integrates naturally into the architectural layout of the transit stations while maintaining accessibility for cyclists.
